If you have not been, here’s a real coup de cœur from yesterday’s visit to Les Arts Décoratifs (one of my favorite museums in Paris) that could not wait.
For this first retrospective retracing 40 years of his unbelievably aesthetic and imaginative creations, contemporary « image-maker » Jean-Paul Goude (remember France’s bicentennial celebration of the 14th of July, Naomi Campbell sprinting alongside a panther, Chanel ads, theatrical Grace Jones or Ektachrome cut-outs?) puts on a one-of-a-kind show, once more.
Live performance in front of mirror and through main hall.
Drawings, objects, music, photography, films… are all brilliantly showcased in intimate and mysterious spaces.
A must sprint (or ride the tube) to, through March 18th!
If you are not in town, I hope you take pleasure in my snapshots from the exhibition (see slideshow below). Enjoy the show!
